Rifters Quartz Gin is made in small batches using Elderberries, Mint Tips, locally foraged Wild Thyme, Manuka and Douglas Fir. This matrix of flavours has been created to represent the landscape of Central Otago.
The Arrowtown Distillery was started by a couple of kiwi builders who one day decided to take a nudge at making their own gin. After less than year, these 2 collected a Gold at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Named Rifters in honour of the local Arrowtown historical associations with gold miners. The brand represents the landscape that was once foraged and fossicked by miners who at the end of a long day, welcomed a refreshing gin! The tinted blue bottle represents the glacial waters that flow through the veins of the region.
Sustainability of the products is a key for Rifters. With Mother Nature providing the water and botanicals used to craft this gin and rich connection to the mining history and sense for exploration still represented in Arrowtown today.
