Arran Whisky is, as they themselves say, "the island, bottled," influenced by the unique geography, microclimate, and water that is unique to their location in the Firth of Clyde on Scotland’s west coast. All spirit is distilled and matured on island, giving them direct control and management of their aging liquor.

As Arran is an island whisky, many would assume it is peated, however, their signature is an unpeated, light cereal, and distinctly fruity/citric style of whisky, which is achieved through a 65-hour fermentation.

Although their Lochranza distillery is relatively young, opening in 1995, it has a large range of highly awarded whiskies for its age, including an 18- and 25-year-old, and the capacity to produce 1.2m litres per year. It is also one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland today, with more than 60,000 people visiting the distillery and their award-winning centre every year.
