From New Zealand's first and only vermouthery, Mr. Mug's sole focus is on tailoring their vermouth to perfection.
Their sweet vermouth is made in the traditional Italian style using a white wine base of Hawke's Bay pinot gris. These grapes are lightly fruity but are neutral enough to let the botanicals sing, including mugwort, wormwood, and chamomile.
They grow and source as many of the botanicals as possible from New Zealand which led them using local clover honey to sweeten it.
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy in a negroni or with Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water and a slice of lemon.
