Papaiti Gin

Founded in 2021 by Adrian Rumney and Nikki Oesterle, everything began with the question “What are you going to do with all the pears?” after moving to a house that came with two sizeable pear orchards.

The answer was to make gin all about connecting a creative product to the environment it was created in is a core principle. Passionately sourcing as many botanicals as they can locally.

Pears, kawakawa, lemons, limes, figs, quince, basil, rosehip, stinging nettle and rosemary are all grown behind their home on the bank of the Whanganui River. Their gins are made using a sugarcane base spirit.
